Rowing had its international technical review for San Salvador 2023 w ahead of San Salvador 2023

The American Khristopher Allen Grudt, international rowing technical delegate, visited the facilities of the Salvadoran federation of this sport in Lake Ilopango for the respective review of the competition circuit, the boathouse and verified other key areas for its development in the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.

Khristopher Grudt was accompanied on the tour by Yuri Calderón, technical director of the Salvadoran Rowing Federation and technical liaisons of the Organizing Committee for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games (COSSAN).

Khristopher Allen Gudt also got on a boat to verify the technical details of the two-kilometer circuit where the rowing competitions will take place during the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023. 

“I think it is a very beautiful lake and a place with good conditions for regattas. It is the first time that I visit El Salvador and the main objective was to get to know the stage and place of competition”, said the also vice-president of the International Rowing Federation.

For his part, Yuri Calderón valued the visit of the international technical delegate as positive and important. “The visit of the technical delegate helps us to guarantee the conditions of the competition, that they are better and we got to know his point of view and obtain his recommendations to be able to have a better competition.

Rowing joins badminton, diving, open water, weightlifting, bowling, athletics (track and field), bodybuilding, gymnastics, archery, triathlon, swimming, artistic swimming, chess, fencing, tennis, softball, water polo and sailing, among other sports, which have already had their respective technical review.
