We are getting ready to receive the athletes at the airport

The general secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Central American and
Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 (COSSAN2023), Lucrecia de Calderón, made a
working visit to San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport to
refine details for the welcome of the participating delegations to the regional event
next year.

Mrs. Calderón and technicians from protocol, marketing, communications,
infrastructure and operations had discussions with the delegates of the air terminal,
CEPA, Immigration, Customs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish special
mechanisms to attend the international athletes and delegates who will arrive in our
country next year to take part in the sports festival.

Topics like visas, baggage review, sports equipment, immigration controls, arrival
terminals and waiting rooms were extensively discussed with the representatives of
these government institutions that join COSSAN’s work, through the Sports Cabinet,
to expedite the arrival process of international delegations from over 30 countries.

After a tour around the main points at the airport, a special mechanism was agreed to
provide attention to all visitors in order to make their entry easier and transfer them
with no problem to the Central American and Caribbean Village and the hotels, as the
case may be.
