“We will have some excellent facilities”: Pablo Castro, softball ITD

The softball International Technical Delegate (TDI), Costa Rican Roberto Castro, visited the Pablo Arnoldo Guzmán Stadium to observe the progress of the work that is being done to this sports facility for the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.

The representative took this opportunity to meet with members of COSSAN2023 and the company in charge of the remodeling works. They reviewed the blueprints of the project, delimitation athletes’, public, and press areas, among other details, with the purpose of answering any queries from both parties, and to ensure that the stadium is in optimal conditions for the sports event held in June and July.

Castro seemed pleased with the progress of the remodeling works, and he expressed his satisfaction for the work plan that has been laid out for the conclusion of the project. “I see that we’re progressing, we have a few details to add to the pitch, but everything seems to point out that we will have some excellent facilities”, he mentioned.

The Pablo Arnoldo Guzmán Stadium will be the stage where different softball athletes will compete, in men and women’s categories, to win their respective medals and bring honor to their countries at the 2023 San Salvador Games.

The action will start with the women’s category on June 25th, up until June 28th; whereas the men’s category will be played from July 4th to July 7th.
